Okay cool, I activated it so hopefully it’ll work in the future.
Before basketball, Kuroko is the boy always on top of his afternoon tv programming, earning meager grades, posessing average cooking ability (he maintains, he is great with a microwave and pack of cup noodles): all in all, an unremarkable child destined for no notable achievements, no discernible drive to do much of anything important his parents are informed one parent conference.
So when he plops himself in front of the television set the night before golden week, it is with gloom he flips through the channels and tries to shelve the memory of his parents and the open-close mouth guppy thing they did whenever they didn’t know whether to scold or hold him.
The basketball game is a distinct ripple in the stream of flipped channels Kuroko runs through because of its seemingly sheer mundanity. But the yellow polished floors the players glide on and the back and forth flow of the gameplay lure him into a daze that still the muscles of his hand so the remote thunks on the floor. It is a recorded match. It is an infamous one where the shooting guard dunks from the free throw line, air slipping through his limbs until his arm reaches and grabs the rim, slamming the ball with the grace of a natural.
Kuroko remembers the moment well when he transfers to Teikou, his parents offering their encouragement at having seen their boy moved by something he always lacked—passion—even if it meant agreeing to move into a house barely fit for the three of them to pay their son’s tuition.
It was hard to ignore what was in their son’s eyes; that day, Kuroko decides to be something remarkable.
Drop a character in my ask from one of my fandoms (see intro) and I’ll give you some headcanons.
(Kinda feel like I need to do something active.)
So, if you didn’t know, I recently started university (but not instruction yet) and I’ve found myself really busy. This is probably because it’s still welcome week so I’m always out and about and haven’t had much time to really sit down and do things on the computer. This will probably change within awhile as I adjust. As for now, expect a little radio silence before I get back into the regular program.
So, I’m about three-quarters of the way through my (first) re-read of kurobasu. I just finished the Seirin-Touou rematch, but I had to stop because of sobbing. THAT’S RIGHT, I CRIED WHILE READING A MANGA ABOUT BASKETBALL, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT
Please join me on a mangacap-filled tour of Aomine and Kuroko’s torrid relationship. Spoilers through chapter 140.
This is perfect, you are perfect, now please take responsibility for these tears because these two make my heart clench every goddamn time and you put it all in one post.

Kagami Taiga vs. The World
↳ “If you want me to help you become number one in Japan, you must defeat my 6 evil ex-teammates.”Saw this awhile back and just thought of doing this last night. Sorry for my poor editing and most scenes had to be edited (cropped the bottom) to remove the subtitles. Took 9 hours to do and had a couple of headaches too ; A; Oh gosh why do I do this to myself orz
this is the most perfect thing to happen to this fandom
THat was beautiful thank you
